Counting of ballots of Lok Sabha polls begins ….

Counting of ballots in all 543 seats began this morning at 8:00 a.m IST. No trends have been apparant so far.

Parties begin discussions before poll results

Two days before the results are counted on Saturday, the leading poliical parties have begin discussing post-poll alliances with smaller regional parties. Hectic negotiations have been observed both my NDA and UPA.

Fifth and Final phase of the Polls today

Brisk voting was reported in the fifth and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections. States going to polls today include Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Uttarakhand and Pondicherry.

Jayalalithaa hints at possible reallignment after polls

Fourth phase of the election witnesses 57% voting, violence.

Fourth Phase of the Lok Sabha election was conducted today in key states like Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi capital region. Violence was reported in this phase with four deaths reported from West Bengal and Rajasthan.
